The Breaking the Bonds II
The project aims to transform the lives of 400 extremely marginalized, married Dalit girls, aged 15-25 living in Madhesh Province, Nepal, through increasing financial literacy, and life skills knowledge for them to establish business enterprises to increase income. In the first phase, JWAS has supported 216 targeted people with goats (94 people), buffalos (89 people), stitching machine (33 people), business support (5 people), ducks (3 people) and pig and fish (2 people).
The project is funded by the Fresh Leaf Charitable Foundation and Street Child of Nepal.
IrishAid and Rotary Club of Yala have also contributed matching fund for this project.
