Study on the Status of Musahar Community- Ongoing

The main objective of the project is to have first the status of the Musahar community and particularly Musahar women in selected municipality of Madesh Province. The study explores the issues including socio-economic and political status of Musahar community and particularly of women in the selected municipality. It aims to increase
access to and ownership of political, economic, and social resources for Musahar women enabling participation in decision making in their households and communities.

The project aims to achieve this by ensuring:
1. Based on research findings provide vital registration support to the needed ones,
2. Provide life Skill Sessions and access to local cooperatives and financial institutions for women to empower them
3. Conduct advocacy effort for access to recovery and other support services from Palikas

The project is funded by UNDP under Low Value Grant Agreement
