*Emergency Support to Flood-Affected Families in Nuwakot and Rusuwa districts*

In response to the recent Bhotekoshi–Trishulika flood, Janaki Women Awareness Society Nepal (JWAS Nepal) provided essential household relief items to 300 affected and bereaved households across different holding centers and communities in Bidur Municipality, Nuwakot.

The support was handed over at:
📍 Nuwakot, Bidur Ward 1 – Jatati Welfare Ashram Nepal-run Mother's Home Shelter Relief distribution: 100 households affected by the flood

📍 Nuwakot, Bidur Ward 5 – Chandra Jyoti Secondary School Temporary Holding Shelter Relief distribution to representatives of 100 households at the Blind Shelter

📍 Nuwakot, Bidur Ward 5 – Relief distribution to immediate relatives of 25 deceased families and other 25 flood-affected households

📍 Nuwakot, Bidur Ward 10 – Gerutar Temporary Holding Shelter Relief distribution to 50 households through Ward Chairperson Ganesh Nepal

Total distributed households: 300

The relief package included essential cooking and household items, helping affected families meet their immediate daily needs during this difficult time.
