Research and Advocacy
Research and advocacy are one of the strategic priorities of JWAS.
As a non-governmental organization having a three decades of experience on gender equality and women and girls’ empowerment and research projects, JWAS has implemented many research and advocacy projects in partnership with Plan International, UNDP, University of Brighton (UK), University of Leeds (UK), University of Lincoln (UK), DKA Austria, Kfb Austria, ODI/ALIGN and other Nepali as well as international funders for partnering in research, impact evaluation, and survey projects.
As a founder member of Girls Not Brides Nepal, JWAS contributed during formative research conducted for preparing national strategy to end child marriage in Nepal in 2014.
